Some very special guests delivered a very special gift to Sheridan Elementary on December 15. Two Lehigh Valley Phantoms along with meLVin – their mascot – delivered a $25,000 check from the Phantoms Charities for our school’s new playground.

 

The Phantoms Charities donation supplements fundraising efforts that have already been coordinated by the students and teachers at Sheridan Elementary. Students collected pennies and Sheridan teacher Jennifer Priestas set up a GoFundMe site raising nearly $10,000. Additionally, significant contributions to this endeavor were provided by Air Products and Boyle Construction Management. Joining in the fun where Phantoms owners Jim and Rob Brooks, Laurie G. Hackett from Air Products, and Sean Boyle from Boyle Construction Management.
 
Our goal is to start building the new playground in Spring 2017!
